Of all the problems facing the black community a girl singing about oral sex is not one of them. It’s time for people to take responsibility for thier own actions. Unprotected sex is not dictated by which song you are listening to during intercourse, it is your concious decision on whether or not a condom should be worn. Music is simply one component to the “Recipe for Destruction”. Our society has gradually in the past 20 years reduced a woman’s value to less than nothing. Women are the core of any society. Women are our children’s first teacher. If we can’t find any value in them what does that say for us as men.
Women today are plagued with poor self esteem and self worth and mainly because of the actions of the men in their lives & the media. I’ve seen men more concern about their homies rather than the mother of their own children. One way to buck this trend is to support artist that don’t support these themes and stop buying and watching programs that support this culture. We really need to care for our women and understand what really is at stake. If this generation is this throughly confused then what is the fate of the generations to come. We are not to far from being as the Native Americans were in the late 19th and early 20th century.
Stand Up and Give A Fu*k About Something More Than A Dollar Bill. This is life real and uncut and if we don’t start valuing and nurturing these girls or we will soon have little or nothing left.

You can’t completely blame music for the actions of our people, but it is fair to say that music now-a-days influence kids to act out the lyrics. It is the parents job to teach their children right from wrong but we all can relate to not listening to everything that our parents said. It seems like now kids think they know everything (from watching videos, music, internet, etc.) and when it all boils down they’re going to do just what they want. Look at the number of teenage pregnancies. The majority of young girls pregnant are who? Not the white girls- it’s us, the minorities. Maybe artists should be more careful about their lyrics, and ass shaking in videos should be at a minimum. We have to remember it’s not about us, it’s about the kids.
