With every release that an MC makes, they have to realize the "purpose" for their release. Nas' purpose this time around is to speak down on the haters of his club-banger prowess, and additionally add some insight to back up the title of his album, "Hip Hop is Dead".

Because he's considered to be the cream-'o'-the-crop with versatile heavy-hittin' MC's, he'll have to stay categorically intact to please both everyone above and under the ground. It IS possible for him to rock a Premo, Salaam Remi, or insert-your-favorite-gritty-&-raw-producer beat for this album, but since he needs to make every count track for publicity, I wouldn't blame'em for including only about 2 tracks from such producers, as making an album full of these sort 'o' beats will just generate another SD.

Will Nasir Jones be able to pull everything off with this upcoming release? I'm sure he's BEEN listening to what both the streets & corporations tell'em, so we'll just have to wait 'n' see. As far as I see it though, I predict a promising release that's a healthy release for hip-hop... 1x plat at least too.

Speaking of Pharrell as a producer for NaS' new album: Has anyone listened to Hovito's 'Allure'? I rate this one very high, it reminds of 'Dead Presidents II'. I would love to hear a beat like that with NaS over it, doing his thing. So, having Pharrell on the album doesn't necessarily mean, that we'll hear one of his more well-known club grooves. He has to know where NaS' strenght lie. Generally, of course, Dre and Timbo are the more promising candidates. They should be able to lay the ground for a great album!

Dipset Affiliates Roc-a-Fake "Chain" to Push Records
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait... They almost had me 100% convinced at first, but taking a good look at Tru Life's chain, I think it's time for these pink and purple clowns to be sent to jail for fraud.

Let's clear something up -- fast. This is what I HEARD, and this is what "they" SENT.

So how did Purple City’s Sheist Bub get a hold of "Tru Life’s" chain? We all know Jenny "Jim" Jones is too much of a front to pull off something so bold. The most he could’ve done was coerce one of his pink panthers into doing it, and he did. The story (emphasis) went like this: Tru wasn’t watching his back as he was exiting the studio sometime last week, and one of the Dipset affiliates was waiting for him.

Now would be when the focus turns away from the lyrical aspect of beef, and more towards the I’m-gonna-do-you-in-for-this side of it. Yeah, Jimmy had already challenged him to a knuckle-up (which further emphasized his lack of skill in rhyming), but who really took him serious? Nobody. So since his little silly ass offer was ignored, he got his feelings hurt. ‘Dito.

If this is his chain... Tru, come on man. All that talk, and you ain’t watching your back? All that jibber-jabber at The Roxy, and you think cats ain’t trying to catch you slippin’? You know there’s always a rat at every studio. There’s always that dude from Uptown peeking around the corner at you on that sheisty business, binoculars in his left, Nextel in his right.

Not that it’s all that serious, but it’s funny how I was one of the firsts ever to touch up on this Tru Life drama, who cats was sayin’ was a nobody, now all of a sudden this one is talking about him and the swagger jacker next door.

Anyways, it's crossed my mind that maybe this isn't his chain, old pic, whateva. Some might say it's a publicity stunt, a chain from the jewlery shop, all very valid possibilities, but why would they go cop one and front it? Nah -- don't think so. But regardless, someone’s ‘bout to get their ass whupped. Hopefully, it doesn’t go any further than that.

Oh yeah and by the way, take a good look at Tru's chain and the one Sheist is profiling doesn't really look too much like the real thing. I guess this is another attempt to sell records... Cam, give the sales boosting attempt a REST, you're FINISHED. It's obvious that Jim is coming out with an album soon. And Purple City will never sell records regardless, so they should stay out of it.

Dipset Affiliates Roc-a-Fake “Chain” to Push Records
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait… They almost had me 100% convinced at first, but taking a good look at Tru Life’s chain, I think it’s time for these pink and purple clowns to be sent to jail for fraud.

Let’s clear something up — fast. This is what I HEARD, and this is what “they” SENT.

So how did Purple City’s Sheist Bub get a hold of “Tru Life’s” chain? We all know Jenny “Jim” Jones is too much of a front to pull off something so bold.

‘Dito.

If this is his chain… Tru, come on man.

Anyways, it’s crossed my mind that maybe this isn’t his chain, old pic, whateva. Some might say it’s a publicity stunt, a chain from the jewlery shop, all very valid possibilities, but why would they go cop one and front it? Nah — don’t think so. But regardless, someone’s ‘bout to get their ass whupped. Hopefully, it doesn’t go any further than that.

Oh yeah and by the way, take a good look at Tru’s chain and the one Sheist is profiling doesn’t really look too much like the real thing. I guess this is another attempt to sell records… Cam, give the sales boosting attempt a REST, you’re FINISHED. It’s obvious that Jim is coming out with an album soon. And Purple City will never sell records regardless, so they should stay out of it.
