This is pretty messed up. Substance abuse leades to violence and death, but of course a writer from this organization is pushing drugs and alcohol, both are substances that the White leaders have built and own, and are pushing into our faces because THEY KNOW that people living in impoverished communities will latch onto booze and drugs and eventually kill themselves.
And about graffiti? First of all you should forget about the four elements bullshit, because who has the right to limit what the fuck hip-hop music is? Graffiti ain’t MUSIC, it is a devoution to mastering and learning the meaning to the ancient symbolism that is held within alphabets. Of course not many graffiti artists do that intentionally, most are too materialistic and abuse liquor and drugs, simply due to the fact that HIP-HOP pushes this agenda so hard. Of course hip-hop caused youth to drink and smoke weed, that is what the record companies are making the artists SAY. Life is not just about sleeping with women and doing drugs and drinking alcohol and keeping it real. What the fuck is REAL? Someone who fights people and sells drugs to mothers and kids? Fuck that shit, SCARFACE/tony montana is so cool right? WRONG, he is a piece of shit.
But you know what man, it is good that fools like you are questioning the reason why graffiti is associated with RAP, because it is good to see the most intelligent form of art departing from the mindless bullshit that is manipulating the youth. Oh yeah and your perspective is blurry, graffiti is not about destroying property.

Graffitti is a lost art, but then again, aren’t the other “elements” becoming washed up too? I think its safe to say that 3 of the 4 elements are gone. What happened to breakdancing? How come the only people I see breakdancing anymore are Asian? How bout DJs? Most mainstream rap beats coming out nowadays sound ghey,techno, or are stolen, so I think the art of cuttin n scratchin is pretty much gone (and no, I dont count screwin and choppin, or whatever you hicks down in Texas call it, as an art form. Making music slower and more retarded sounding doesn’t take any talent.)
