On behalf of UGK RECORDS, TRILL ENT, RAP A LOT and every other major label affiliated with the artist known as Pimp C. THANKS for the free promotions. Without journalist like you we would have to pay magazines, news, and radio to spark the public’s interest in our artist and you have done it free of charge. Although you have some negative views on Pimp C, we will take it anyway it comes. But just to set the record straight, since you are a “journalist”, make sure that you do the proper research before you try to take credit for information that has been available to the public for years. If you have ever listened to any of the early recordings of UGK (Underground Kingz) i.e. “Stoned Junkee” (Super Tight, 1994) the evidence is there, and came from the artist’s mouth. As far as the incident in the mall that caused Pimp C to be sentenced 8 years in the Texas Department of Corrections (TDCJ), he has served 4 years of his sentence and will serve the remaining 4 on parole for the State of Texas. Right now, it is all about staying positive, moving forward with life, and making money. No need to disrespect this MAN and call him out of his name (What’s with the “jig” reference?), I thought we left the Jim Crow thinking in the past, but I see that it still lives deep inside some of us. It is obvious that you are not a fan of Pimp C and that you are from a totally different background, culture (“jig” reference?), and demographic area than our artist. You can’t make everybody like you, but you can make them hate……..keep on keeping on. An AK and a fur coat isn’t the only thing you don’t have.

You are wrong, wrong, wrong. First things first, Pimp C did not pull a gun on the girl, he lifted his jacket and showed it to her in the midst of a heated argument which included several men (who were with the girl), which in texas is considered aggravated assault. Secondly he did in fact not go to jail for that. He got probation for it and then didn’t do the community service required for his probation and THAT’s why he went to jail for not five years but almost four.
And he 100 percent did not have an AK47. Urban legend pure and simple.
