Face it the south has taken over the rap game…PERIOD!!! So many other rappers have tried to change their style to mirror the south. Bol you cant diss UGK they may not have the sales to prove it, but they are one of the most underratted rap groups of all time. Yes most of their cds did go gold, but its with little promotion. besides they dont use a lot of people’s production… they use their own. Slow Down samples with hard mid and high basslines with bass guitars and tamberines as their hi hats. Their music is lad back head boucing music. Something you can play all the way. Yes, they might have gotten a lil more popular now, but their success is deciated to their fans. I know that their solo cds were good but not great but had way too many guests on their, but they wanted to show that if people respect them that they rhyme with the best right now. besides when their double cd comes out, they’ll finally get that platinum they been wanting for years and they deserve it. Everybody knows that UGK is an all time favortie with everybody.
