Even though he’s behind bars, T.I. is already facing more legal trouble.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, a man who claims he was held hostage and beaten by one of the Tip's associates on September 8 is filing a lawsuit against the rap superstar. Although T.I. was not there, the alleged victim, studio engineer Norris Gresham, is still seeking to hold him responsible for the incident, which took place at the rap star's own Echo Studios.  Gresham claims that the T.I.P. was sent information and updates on the situation, including texts, e-mails, and video and failed to intervene.

Court documents obtained by the AJC say that Mike Bigga, formerly known as Killer Mike, who is one of a handful of others named in the suit as well, was unable to find his chain and suspected Gresham was responsible for it being missing. As a result, he says they held him captive, threw him down stairs, and threatened him with a gun.

Neither reps for T.I or Bigga have responded to the allegations as of press time.

This is the latest legal incident plaguing the ATLien. Just last week he began an 11-month sentence for violating his probation stemming from a 2009 federal gun conviction. —Adam Fleischer
