It was another slow week for hip-hop on the Billboard charts, with Lil Wayne and Eminem being the only rappers to appear on the Top 40.

Weezy continued his reign as the top ranking MC on the charts, landing at the No. 5 position this week. I Am Not A Human Being picked up an additional 44,900 units over the last seven days, according to the Nielsen SoundScan report released today (November 10). After six week, the disc has a total sales number of 410,900.

Eminem took a seat two spots down at No. 7. The Detroit Lyricist’s latest LP, Recovery, added 37,700 units to its overall tally this go-round, which now stands at 2,936,300.

Debuting on the charts this week is Pharrell William’s genre blurring group N.E.R.D. The group’s fourth CD, Nothing, entered the Billboard Top 200 at No. 21, with 19,700 in sales.

With a slew of new releases hitting shelves yesterday, including Kid Cudi’s Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, Twista’s The Perfect Storm, Joe Budden’s Mood Muzik 4: A Turn for the Worst and Cee-Lo Green’s The Lady Killer, look for hip-hop to have a bigger presence on next week’s charts rundown. —Elan Mancini
