Buckshot to Release Pamphlet on the Music Business

As Duck Down Music’s 15th year nears a close, Buckshot, its co-founder and an influential MC for the last two decades, is discussing his many experiences with the November 23 release of a pamphlet entitled “The Common Knowledgy Of The Entertainment Industry.”

The Black Moon member will divide the release into three stages. First is the “Basics,” equipped with definitions of important terms associated with the music business. Next is “Framework,” a breakdown of how a music label functions. Finally, “How It All Works” details how to put to use what was learned in previous sections. In addition, the release comes with a 13-track album addressing the issues covered in the pamphlet.

Buckshot is currently preparing to drop The Solution in early 2011, his third collaborative project with 9th Wonder. In addition, he’ll be heading out on tour in October.—Adam Fleischer
