Almost a month after getting busted on unlicensed driving charges, Ice-T was cleared earlier this morning (August 17), due to an error in the Department of Motor Vehicles’ records.

According to the The Wall Street Journal, the DMV never updated their database to reflect that the West Coast rap vet had switched his NY license and plates when he moved to New Jersey.

As previously reported, Ice was arrested on July 20 for driving with a suspended license, invalid insurance and without his seat belt. “I knew I didn’t do anything wrong,” he told the WSJ. “You gotta have yourself a good lawyer in these types of things.” —Elan Mancini
