Foxy Brown appeared in Brooklyn Criminal Court yesterday (July 27) to face a charge of violating a protection order.

As previously reported, Fox, was accused of getting into a verbal confrontation with her neighbor last Wednesday. Because of a restraining order that was had previously been placed on Foxy by her neighbor, the BK native faces up to seven years in jail.

According to New York's Daily News, things took a turn on Sunday, after Foxy’s lawyer, Bruce Barron, announced that he would no longer represent her. As a result, the MC hired Salvatore Strazzullo on her behalf. Strazzullo tried to get an order of protection for Foxy against her accuser, Arlene Raymond, but was denied.

This past Sunday night, Foxy had a show in New York City despite her arrest earlier in the week. —Adam Fleischer
