XXL Freshman Donnis is currently prepping for the release of his new mixtape, Fashionably Late, at the end of this month. XXLMag.com spoke to the newly-signed Atlantic artist during the Freshman 10 for ’10 cover shoot about what fans can expect from the project.

According to the young MC, he’s taking a different approach than his critically acclaimed, Diary of an ATL Brave. “Last mixtape was all original music, Needlz, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, those cats... This time it’s me going in on other people’s beats.” [Watch below]

Donnis added that he has a handful of original songs on the tape as well. Producers Needlz, Crookers, who did a remix of Kid Cudi’s "Day-N-Night," and the Outsyders, the team behind Britney Spears’ single, “Womanizer,” all contributed tracks.

As far as features go, the “Gone” rapper says he has a cut with fellow classmate Pill and he might include a song he recorded with 2009 freshman alum Mickey Factz.
