Nike and Odell Beckham Jr. Unveil First Collaborative Shoe

NFL superstar Odell Beckham Jr. is the latest NFL player to receive his very own lifestyle sneaker. Teaming up with his sponsor, Nike, No. 13 of New York Giants unveils his very first signature shoe with the Swoosh. Using the canvas of one Nike's latest Air Force models, OBJ creates an eye-catching silhouette that matches he's larger than life persona.

Taking cues from the everyday New York City lifestyle, Odell Beckham and the Swoosh pay tribute to New York's yellow cabs with the colorway used on the canvas of his sneakers. Recreating the Special Field Air Force 1 Mid, Nike adds to the canvas of the shoes the bright yelllow colorway all throughout the upper of the sneakers. In addition, hits of black can be seen on the tongue of the shoes while the midsole and outsole are complemented by gum bottom.

To give the shoes the special OBJ touch, Nike adds a woven label on the tongue of each SF AF-1 Mid with the word mark “OBJ." Another highlight from the coveted pair if the OBJ embellishment that appears on the shoe’s straps. One of the straps shares the longitude and latitude of Odell's birth city, Baton Rouge, La. while the other details include a homage to his hometeam's field, Metlife Stadium. Nods to his social media bio, position and jersey number are also featured on the straps.

The Nike Special Field Air Force-1 Mid “OBJ” will release on Fri., Nov. 24, exclusively at select Nike stores and online at nike.com.
