Attention aspiring rappers and producers, Duck Down Music and 2K Sports have teamed up to offer up-and-coming artists the chance to appear on the upcoming soundtrack for NBA 2K11.

Beatmakers have until March 22 to submit one sample-free instrumental to nba2k11@duckdown.com. Along with the song, each producer is also encouraged to send video of the beat-making process. Reps for Duck Down and 2K Sports will then select the top 10 instrumentals and preview all 10 candidates’ work online. Fans will vote on their favorites and one winner will be announced on April 5.

The next part of the competition will begin the following day, where rappers will be given until May 4 to submit one clean track using the winning producer's instrumental. Again, fans will then vote on the best verse and one week later the winner will be announced on May 11.

In addition to having the winning track included in the latest installment of the hugely popular NBA 2K videogame series, the victors in the competition will also receive an all-expense paid trip to New York City, where they will have the special opportunity to perform the song live at Duck Down's CMJ Showcase in October.
