A month after his release from prison, hometown rapper Mystikal is set to headline New Orleans’ Mardi Gras festival later this month.

Set to hit the stage for the first time since getting out of jail, the former No Limit rapper will be coming to the Mahalia Jackson Theater of Performing Arts on Tuesday, February 16.

Tickets for the show, billed as "Mystikal and Friends," are currently on sale at ticketmaster.com.

As previously reported, the N.O. MC was freed from prison on January 14 after serving six years behind bars for sexual battery charges.

“It was tough,” he said of his time spent in jail in an interview on Q93 FM. “I took it in stride. I’m back. It almost feels like a dream. For a while, it felt like, I was gone so long.” —Elan Mancini
