Update (May 30, 5:08 p.m. EST):

LaVar Ball has accepted Cube's challenge—with a twist. "If I make this shot before you make it, you gotta buy my whole travel ball team, which is 14 people, the ZO2's," says Ball in the video below. "Let's do it like that. Up the ante a little bit." Then he shows off his shooting form, chucking up a shot without showing whether it went in. Sounds like it might have been a brick, but let's see where this goes.

It looks like Ice Cube is stepping up promotion for his new BIG3 League in a major way. Recently, the N.W.A member issued a challenge to LaVar Ball, whose basketball phenom son Lonzo Ball and knack for outlandish boasts have made him into a media sensation. If Ball can make a 30-foot jumper, which in the BIG3 League counts for four-points, Cube will buy 10 pairs of his recently revealed Big Baller Brand sneakers.

"Callin out @Lavarbigballer for @thebig3 #4pointchallenge! Make the 30ft shot and I'll cop 10 pairs of #bigballerbrand," Cube wrote on Twitter. If Ball, who has claimed he could beat Michael Jordan in a game of one-on-one, is close to as good as he says he is, this should be easy money.

Ball, who's the father of Lonzo Ball—a very likely top three pick in the 2017 NBA Draft—has been something of a national fixation for the last three months. In that time, he's suggested his son could turn the Los Angeles Lakers, who've not won 30 games in a season since 2013, into a playoff team and claimed his kids have competitive advantages over LeBron James.

If Ball can make the 30-footer, he'd be looking at a pretty big come up, since the ZO2s, which are the brand's equivalent of MJ's Air Jordan 1s, cost a whopping $495. That means Ball could snag himself very close to $5,000 from Cube for simply hitting a jumper. Not bad, but will he accept Ice Cube's challenge? We'll have to wait and see.

The first game of BIG3 League will tip-off exactly a month from now at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. Peep Cube's challenge to Ball in the video below.
