Tyler, The Creator fans attending Toronto's NXNE Festival might have just taken an L. Yesterday (May 24), the festival announced the rapper had pulled out of his headlining set at the event.

“Due to circumstances beyond our control, Tyler the Creator, will no longer be performing at the festival,” the festival said in a press release. It's unclear why, exactly, Tyler's stepped out of this event, but it's not the first time the rapper's backed out of something unexpectedly. A few weeks ago, Tyler cancelled his European tour.

Festival or no festival, Tyler was always going to be super-busy this summer. A couple of weeks back, it was revealed the rapper was headed to Viceland to create a show called Nuts and Bolts. The new show will find Tyler attempting to get to the bottom of how, exactly, a variety of things are made. Sounds pretty dope.

A short time later, we learned Tyler is producing a show called The Jellies! which doesn't yet have a premiere date, but will be airing on Adult Swim. The show will follow the exploits of a jellyfish family and their 16-year-old son, who happens to be a human. Like we said, Tyler's up to a lot of stuff.

On a positive note for NXNE Festival attendees, Kaytranada, who recently dropped an EP alongside Buddy, is taking the Odd Future co-founder's place as the headliner. You can cop tickets to the festival here.
