Black Eyed Peas Continue Reign Atop the Charts, Young Money Outsell Omarion

Eight months after debuting on The Billboard 200 sales chart and the Black Eyed Peas are still going strong.

The West Coast-based hitmakers might have fallen two spots on the Nielsen SoundScan report this week to no. 10, but the Peas still continue to lead the rap pack. The E.N.D., the group’s Grammy-nominated fifth studio album, moved 32, 400 units this sales cycle, bringing their 32-week total to 1,855,100.

Sliding five spots to no. 18 is Lil Wayne’s crew Young Money. We Are Young Money pulled in 20,900 in sales this week. After one month the group’s tally is 232,300.

Right behind YM at no. 19 is former signee Omarion. The R&B singer’s new album, Ollusion, sold 19,300 disc in its first week on the shelves, due in part to the star’s singles “ I Get It In” and “Hoodie” with Gucci Mane and Jay Rock respectfully.

Sittin at no. 23 this go-round is Eminem. Relapse picked up an additional 16,700 in sales this week, bumping the Detroit Lyricist’s overall stats to 1,776,500.

Three slots down is Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3. The critically acclaimed record managed to collect 15,400 scans this week, putting Hov’s complete sales figure at around 1,548,800.

Holding tight at no. 37 is Gucci Mane. The State Vs. Radric Davis picked up 11,300 units this week, making the So Icey rapper’s six-week total stand at 214,500. —Max G
