Last Tuesday was a big week for hip-hop as record stores saw five major albums drop from Snoop Dogg, Clipse, B.G., Gucci Mane and Timbaland. In a year where projects are more likely to get pushed back than actually pushed, that’s a lot of music for rap fans to consume. But with the industry still in the grips of a recession and sales at an all-time low, the number of units these MCs will push is anyone’s guess—including XXL’s staff. Still, we got our betting pool going and tossed out a few first week predictions. What do you think these rap stars are going to sell come Wednesday and who do you think is going to snag that No. 1 spot—if at all?
