Continuing to venture into the movie world, 50 Cent announced to MTV News that he plans on shooting his latest film, The Gun, next month.

Fif, who wrote the script, will also star in the movie alongside Val Kilmer. "It's about how a weapon goes from manufacturing to its distribution point, to being in a citizen's custody —and how it ends up in the wrong hands," he said, describing the plot to mtv.com. "We watch the actual gun travel through a few different people's hands."

According to Variety, The Gun will be directed by Jessy Terrero (Soul Plane) and filmed in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It will be the first project under the new partnership between 50’s production company Cheetah Vision and entrepreneur Richard Jackson’s Action Jackson Films. Under the new agreement, 50 plans on releasing three to five movies per year. His next project will be a remake of the horror staple Jekyll and Hyde, which he will appear in with Forrest Whittaker.

As of press time there are no scheduled release dates for either movie. —Elan Mancini
