Fabolous Shot and Arrested In New York

Early this morning, Brooklyn rapper Fabolous was shot in the right thigh and arrested after an altercation between his entourage and another group of men escalated outside of Sean "Diddy" Combs' restaurant Justin's in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood. According to the Associated Press, a male assailant in a parking lot outside the restaurant fired shots, and when the men Fabolous was with tried to drive him to the hospital, police stopped the vehicle and found two unlicensed weapons. The rapper was taken to nearby Bellevue Hospital and was places under arrest on weapons charges, along with the three other men in the vehicle. Fabolous, whose real name is John Jackson, is reportedly in stable condition. Police are still searching for the shooter. Fabolous recently signed with to Def Jam Records after a stint with Atlantic Records and is reportedly working on his first album for the label, which is due out early next year.
