With his retail debut, Hy!£UN35, either still being recorded or (more likely) sitting on a shelf somewhere, Young Thug continues to take matters into his own hands. Yesterday (Sept. 30), the Atlantan hit Twitter and Instagram to tell fans that a new mixtape, Slime Season 2, is on the way.

The first Slime installment dropped earlier this month; comprised of new material and songs included in the massive batch of leaks Thug suffered earlier this year, the tape is nevertheless one of the most breathtaking displays of pure rapping that 2015 has to offer. There is currently no information about the sequel beyond those social media posts, so it remains to be seen if it will be a curated version of material that's already floating around the Internet.

Back in April, Thug dropped Barter 6, the title of which was meant as either a homage or a taunt to Lil Wayne. The two have not been directly at odds in the public eye, but Thug's alignment with Birdman, Wayne's long-time mentor, friend, collaborator and label boss--but current legal foe--suggests things aren't all good. Both Thug and Birdman were named in Peewee Roscoe's indictment in a plot to murder Wayne in Atlanta. (Neither Thug nor Birdman has been charged, and both deny any involvement.)  Despite being unable to get a solo single to stick, Thug is featured alongside Popcaan on Jamie xx's massive "I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times)," the video for which dropped earlier this week.
