Despite reports on 50 Cent’s website authorities have not yet cleared the Queens-bred rapper of any wrongdoing involving the arson of his Long Island Mansion.

Last Friday a post on thisis50.com read, “the police department and insurance investigators ruled that there is absolutely no proof or evidence suggesting that Curtis Jackson or any affiliated parties were involved [in the fire]. Curtis Jackson has just been cleared of all the accusations. The investigation will continue until the guilty party is found.”

Yet in an interview with MTV News, the commanding officer of the Suffolk County Police Department’s arson squad disagreed with the post, saying the the G-Unit honcho is not yet in the clear. “The investigation is still ongoing,” Detective Lieutenant James Rooney told MTV. "I don't know where they got that information, but our case is still open and ongoing."

As XXLMag.com previously reported the $1.4 million estate was suspiciously set ablaze in May 2008 sending both his ex, Shaniqua Tompkins, and their son Marquise, to the hospital. While Fif was in the process of trying to get Tompkins evicted from the house prior to the incident, he denied having anything to do with it, instead pointing his finger at his ex. Tompkins did the same, with resulted in both filing restraining orders against one another. – Elan Mancini
