First Kweli reunited with Hi-Tek for a new Reflection Eternal album, and now it has been announced that he will be performing a string of shows with his Black Star partner in rhyme the Mighty Mos Def.

The duo, who released the seminal Mos Def and Talib Kweli Are Black Star album in 1998, will be reuniting to play two shows at New York City’s Nokia Theatre. One show will be at 7 p.m. and the other at 11:30 p.m on May 30th.

Tickets go on sale to the general public tomorrow at noon on ticketmaster.com.

Both Brooklyn MCs have new long-awaited projects coming out. Mos’ first solo album in three years, titled The Ecstatic, is set to come out on June 9th on Downtown Records. The LP is being released on the 10 year anniversary of his first solo album, Black On Both Sides. Kweli will be re-linking with producer Hi-Tek for a new Refelction Eternal album as well, following up 2000’s Train Of Thought. As of press time there is no release date on the disc. - Elan Mancini
