Hollis Hosts Hip-Hop Museum/Burger Joint

Yesterday afternoon saw the grand opening of Hollis Famous Burgers and Hip-Hop Museum in the same Queens, NY neighborhood that raised legendary rap group Run-D.M.C.

Boasting over 100 hip-hop artifacts from some of Queen’s biggest rap icons including Run-D.M.C., LL Cool J, Ja Rule and Murder Inc founder Irv Gotti, customers can get a complimentary viewing, according to New York Newsday.

During Thursday’s opening rapper DMC made an appearance and spit a verse. In related news it was recently announced that DMC and his fellow group mates Rev. Run and the late Jam Master Jay will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April - the second hip-hop act to make it in behind Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. The group may also be making it onto the big screen soon as the same screenwriter responsible for the Biggie Smalls biopic Notorious has been commissioned to write a treatment for a Run- D.M.C. flick. – Elan Mancini
