Suge Knight made it into the headlines again today after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor battery charge for allegedly beating his girlfriend last year.

The Associated Press reports that Knight copped a plea on Tuesday (Feb. 17) in Las Vegas Justice Court, which in turn got two felony drug charges and one felony coercion charge tossed out.

Reportedly the former Death Row Records exec hit Melissa Issac in August of last year. Police say they witnessed Knight assault her while he was holding a knife. When searched authorities then found out that he was carrying Ecstasy and hydrocodone.

Along with a $340 fine, Suge was ordered to receive counseling. He is scheduled to return to court in August.

In related news, Knight was rushed to the hospital over the weekend after getting into a fight with a man in R&B singer Akon’s camp. He reportedly suffered sever facial injuries. – Elan Mancini
