Hip-Hop renaissance man Sean “Diddy” Combs will be expanding his resume once again, as he has recently signed on to star in a new comedy.

During an interview with late night talk show host Craig Ferguson the rapper turned actor revealed the news. “I just signed on to do a comedy as a matter of fact,” he said. “I can’t announce who it’s with, but it’s with some definitely comedy heavy hitters.” [Watch Below]

This will be the first real comedic role for Puff, who received critical acclaim for his role in A Raisin In The Sun. “There’s such a joy in making people laugh,” he shared. “I look forward to it.”

Diddy told Ferguson that he is serious about his acting aspirations. “Right now that’s what I’m pursuing; I’m strongly pursuing my acting career,”he shared.
