Hip-Hop mogul 50 Cent was on hand at this week's Sundance Film Festival to promote his latest business venture, the recently formed movie production company Cheetah Vision.

Reuters reports that the G-Unit honcho, who first hinted at his plans at last year’s festival, said he has already purchased eight movies. In one of the flicks, The Dance - about former champ turned prison boxing coach Billy “The Kid” Roth - Fif will act alongside Nicolas Cage.

"(The script) was previously passed around a little bit but both me and Nicolas Cage had an interest in the film so it will still happen,” he told Reuters. “He plays the founder of a boxing program, and I play a fighter who goes to state prison.”

The gangsta rapper isn’t only interested in developing sport dramas though. "They are all different types of movies that I bought the rights to, and we're developing projects,” he said. “You will see different things from me in the future.”

Recently starring in the Robert DeNiro/Al Pacino crime drama Righteous Kill, 50 will be making his way back to the big screen with Sharon Stone and Val Kilmer in Streets of Blood and Golden Globe-award-winner Mickey Rourke in 13 later this year.- Elan Mancini
