Those December cover boys are just relentless. Long rumored to be appearing on Kanye West's 808s & Heartbreak, Kid Cudi recently spoke to MTV about his working relationship with the Louis Vutton Don.

"I just established a whole G.O.O.D. Music situation," Cudi told MTV. "Kanye reached out, and my manager, Plain Pat, works with him on the A&R tip. He's always been a fan of my records, I guess. He liked the joints, and it just made sense. It came together. The fact he supports what I do and he sat there and listened to my vision and he got it, that was the dopest moment for me."

Cudi also received a big co-sign from former A Tribe Called Quest frontman, Q-Tip, at the abstract's album release party in New York City last week. Interestingly, Cudi also drew criticism from Tip's cousin, Consequence. The Queens MC advised Cudi to "stay in a child's place" behind an incident that took place between the two at Tip's event.

Meanwhile, Charles Hamilton, Cory Gunz and Mickey Factz stopped by G-Unit Radio's morning show this weekend. The three New York MCs took turns freestyling on air. Never one to bit his tongue, Charles also took the opportunity to jab at Soulja Boy.

The December cover has served the Freshmen 10 well. Rumor has it that some of the few indie cover boys are on the verge of signing major deals. Stay tuned for more development.
