L.A. Times Article Implicates Diddy and Biggie in Tupac Shooting

A new article by L.A. Times reporter Chuck Philips implicates Sean “Diddy” Combs and Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace in the 1994 shooting of Tupac Shakur at the Quad studios in Manhattan. Although ‘Pac himself accused Diddy and Big of setting him up while he was still alive, Philips claims to have evidence to support the assertion. While researching the article, Philips uncovered testimony made by an unidentified FBI informant in 2002 that shed new light on the incident. The reporter later spoke with the informant himself and also corroborated his story with other sources familiar with the situation. The informant testified that ‘Pac was ambushed at the Quad after his rejection of an offer to sign to Bad Boy Records infuriated Diddy, his associate James Sabatino and Jimmy “Henchmen” Rosemond. Sabatino, whose father was a member of the Colombo mafia family, reportedly stated that ‘Pac “had to be dealt with.” Although ‘Pac ended being shot five times, the informant says that Diddy and Biggie were under the impression that he would only be beaten up and robbed. Philips states in the article that he reached out to the three men who ambushed ‘Pac at the Quad that night, all of whom are currently incarcerated on unrelated charges. One of them men denied the allegations, but the other two admitted that they were involved. One attacker allegedly confirmed to Philips that he was contracted by Henchmen to attack the rapper, and the other offered to produce the medallion that was taken from ‘Pac during the robbery. The L.A. Times article also states that a federal investigation into the incident is ongoing and several music industry sources have already testified before a grand jury.
