A grand jury in Yuma County Arizona indicted Lil Wayne on felony drug and weapons charges on Friday (February 8). According to the Associated Press, the rapper was present at the arraignment and pleaded not guilty to the charges which include possession of a narcotic drug for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, misconduct involving weapons and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. The charges stem from a January 22 arrest at Border Patrol checkpoint near Dateland, AZ. Wayne’s tour bus was searched by local authorities and Drug Enforcement Administration agents who uncovered four ounces of marijuana, just over an ounce of cocaine, 41 grams of Ecstasy and a .40 caliber pistol. The rapper’s attorney, James Tilson said that his client is currently on tour and plans to continue with his scheduled appearances. He is due back in court on March 7.
