Maybe "Can't Get Right" would be a better MC tag now? DMX was arrested yet again yesterday when police pulled him in on a warrant for having no valid driver's license. The rapper was booked and released four hours later on a $500 bond. Just last month X was arrested multiple times in Arizona, most notably for felony drug charges and an animal cruelty misdemeanor. It's a case of he said/ he said. But both parties are the same guy and both responses sound suspect. Don Imus--who made rippling headlines when he called the Rutgers women's basketball team "Nappy-headed hoes" last year--recently made another insensitive racial remark. This time regarding NFL player Adam "Pacman" Jones. Yesterday Imus asked "what color is he" in reference to Jones when his on-air host listed the player's legal problem. When told he was African-American, Imus responded: "There you go. Now we know." Today, however, the controversial radio jock defended his comment saying it was a "sarcastic point." "What people should be outraged about is that they arrest blacks for no reason," he said. "I mean, there's no reason to arrest this kid six times." [AP]
